Terms & Conditions

By making a booking, buying a gift experience or attending a session at Darkhorse you (and all in your party) are agreeing to comply with our terms and conditions. There's nothing scary here, we've kept it short and everything's written in plain english. We want you to have the best time possible at the studio so please read through the below to make sure you are familiar with our terms of use.

Times and dates are subject to availability. Darkhorse reserves the right to refuse and reschedule sessions when necessary. Bookings can be made by phone or email, your session is not confirmed until the required deposit has been paid.



A £50 deposit made 7 days in advance is required to confirm all bookings, the remaining balance is due at the end of each session. Payment can be made by cash, card, PayPal or cheque (cleared funds only)


Cancellations & Rescheduling

Please give at least 72 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session for any reason. You can reschedule your booking once. If a cancellation is made within 72 hours of your session your deposit will be forfeited. If you cannot attend your rescheduled booking 50% of your deposit will be forfeited. Deposits are non refundable unless we cancel your booking for any reason, then your deposit will be refunded in full if we can't move you to a suitable alternate date.



Your session starts and ends at the times agreed when your booking is made. Please arrive at your start time.


Session Overrun

If your session runs past your booked time an additional charge of £30 per hour will be added to your fee.


Gift Cards

Your Gift Card will be fully redeemed on the day of your booking and can be used as part or total payment for a session. Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Gift Card purchases are non refundable.



Customers use Darkhorse Studio and it's associated facilities including the bathroom, kitchen and car parking entirely at their own risk. Darkhorse Studio and Dave Needham accept no liability for any personal injury or loss of, or damage to any personal property. Customers will be held responsible for any damage to or loss of the property of Dave Needham/Darkhorse Studio and will agree to pay for any such loss/damage. The studio is housed in a converted stables and although it is treated to greatly reduce outside noise it is not completely impervious to it. Darkhorse Studio and Dave Needham are sympathetic to this and are happy to add on time to compensate in the unlikely event that unwanted sound is audible during a take, but accept no liability for unwanted sound spoiling any performance or for any associated consequences due to sessions running longer than expected.

Food & Drink

Customers are welcome to bring food and drink into the studio but it must not be placed on any of the studio equipment. Please place any rubbish in the bins provided.



Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the studio.



Darkhorse retains all rights to all recordings until they have been paid for in full.


File Storage

All session files are kept for 30 days, after which time they will be deleted. Customers are encouraged to bring a storage device with them to take the files away at the end of their session. File transfers must be made within the booked session time.
